    Elizabeth Hartman, DVM

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Hartman is the founder of Wellesley Animal Hospital. After graduating from the University of Arizona with a BS in Agriculture/Animal Health Science, she knew that she would become a veterinarian and graduated Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. She has resided in the Boston area her whole life and is married with a son, daughter, two rescue pups, and 2 rescue kitties. In her spare time, she enjoys riding her two horses, Alice and Maggie, reading, and gardening.

    Jenny-Ree Hedges, DVM

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Hedges grew up in New Jersey and worked as a veterinary technician in both New Jersey and New York before attending vet school. She then attended and went on to graduate from The University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Dr. Hedges practiced as a veterinarian in London for an additional three years, before returning to the United States and settling in the Newton area.     Veterinarian

    Dr. Keesler grew up in Connecticut and worked as a vet tech for a year before going to and graduating from Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. She worked in England for a year before moving back to the states and working at Brookline Animal Hospital with Dr. Hartman and Dr. Tast. After taking the next several years to spend time at home with her two daughters, she returned to performing surgery at Wellesley Animal Hospital.     Veterinarian

    Dr. Ashley Kopeikin grew up in the Chicago area, and graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Her first love and passion was horseback riding, and she was an avid competitor in the sport of eventing. She went on to complete her residency and board certification in Large Animal Internal Medicine at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, but has found her true calling in small animal general practice.     Dr. Tast grew up as an NYC native. She completed her undergraduate work at SUNY Stonybrook, before starting her Tufts veterinary education in Massachusetts. Post-graduation, she worked at Brookline Animal Hospital, where her long-term friendships with Dr. Hartman and Dr. Keesler found their roots.     Dr. Julie Graves, a practicing chiropractor for 22 years, became inspired to work with animals after watching a local Equine Chiropractor adjust a horse.     Sabrina is the practice manager at Wellesley Animal Hospital. She is a certified veterinary technician who has been with our hospital for over 10 years. After playing field hockey and graduating from Boston College, Sabrina realized her passion was for animals and returned to school at Mount Ida College to obtain her CVT.     Jamie has been working as a Veterinary Technician since 2008 and with Wellesley Animal Hospital since 2013. After graduating from Quinnipiac University, she relocated to Los Angeles and started her own pet sitting service alongside supervising at Emergency Clinics in the Hollywood area. Moving herself and her pet sitting business back East, she is now owned by 4 Irish Wolfhounds and 15 parrots. She also homes 3 chickens and one honeybee hive. Linda is responsible for caring for the orphan wildlife that comes in our doors. She is a self-acclaimed “Sci-Fi Geek.”
